Financial services firm Visa has disclosed that it has inked agreements with 14 tech firms drawn from 10 nations as part of a program to promote contactless payments solutions in public transportation. The program will see Visa partner with firms working to popularize the use of contactless payments in public transportation across the globe.
Visa initially announced the program last year in November alongside Worldline and Vix, the initial partners. The certification for the program will set a benchmark which will ensure that transit firms implement an experience that is convenient for commuters and which uses solutions that are secure.
